Le Tertre - Our Story

Picture
The Farmhouse at 'Le Tertre'

When we moved to Le Tertre about seven years ago, it was to escape the rat-race of our busy working lives and the stressful commuting and long hours culture of the UK. Le Tertre is a complete antidote to that lifestyle, with its rural setting in the middle of rolling countryside on the southern border of Lower Normandy where it meets the Mayenne region of the Pays de le Loire. The peace and quiet of this area is so relaxing that within hours of getting here you will begin to unwind and settle into the rural French way of life.

Le Tertre was built in 1832 and operated as a farm until the latter part of the last century. We originally bought the property in 2007 and have spent much of the time since moving here permanently carrying out extensive renovations. Your holiday gite is a detached barn-conversion situated next to our farmhouse.

So for your chance to come and stay at Le Tertre and explore this beautiful part of the world please check our availability for the dates you want to come then contact us to make your booking. We look forward to welcoming you for your holiday at Le Tertre!
